Server (8) On Call - Banquet Food Servers work as part of the Banquet Team to ensure guest satisfaction. The banquet wait staff serve food & beverages in a friendly, courteous and professional manner according to IHR's high standards of quality. Banquet Servers must be knowledgeable of event menu items and their contents, appropriate table settings and service ware, and the correct preparation and garnishing methods. Banquet Food Servers are also responsible for setting up, maintaining and breaking down banquet rooms. This position requires basic English language communication skills, and the ability to carry large and heavy trays on a continuous basis throughout a shift. This is an ON-CALL position only. Position requires ability to carry trays up to 40 pounds on a regular basis, stand for extended periods of time on different terrain. Should be able to communicate in English and have a professional presentation. Prefer to have 2 years of previous banquet experience with both buffets and plated functions and Saturdays will be mandatory. May work special events and holidays. CA Food Handler's Card Required
Dining Room Attendant (1) Full Time - Dining Room Attendant is a member of the Food and Beverage team and is responsible for clearing tables in accordance with IHR's standards and procedures. Requirements include: knowledge of table settings and service ware; the ability to lift and carry large, heavy trays on a continuous basis throughout the shift; as well as the ability to exert a large amount of physical activity and stand for long periods of time. Duties include: setting up; replenishing and cleaning food and beverage stations.
Must have excellent hospitality skills with strong English. Able to work flexible schedules while standing and walking for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 40 pounds, be a strong team player. CA Food Handler's Card Required
Line Cook (1) Full Time - Line cook is a member of the Food and Beverage Team and work closely with the chef to prepare meals for large parties. S/he is responsible for storing and serving food with consistent quality following IHR's Standard Operating Procedures and Food Safety procedures. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required. Must have previous cooking experience in restaurant or hotel kitchen. Prefer candidates with 3-5 years of experience. Must have open availability for scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays. This position requires open availability including nights, days, weekends and holidays as well as position of a valid CA Food Handlers Card.
Overnight Loss Prevention Officer (1) Full Time - Security Officer is responsible for: insuring a safe environment for IHR guests and associates; patrolling; documenting; reporting; and following-up on safety and security hazards or infractions. This individual may also be required to carry out more general guest service tasks, such as delivering items to guests rooms. A Security officer must demonstrate the ability to remain calm in emergencies, and balance excellent guest and associate relations skills with safety and security. Must possess an excellent work ethic, written and oral communication a must. Able to lift at least 25 pounds, stand or sit for extended periods of time and work during inclement weather. Must be able to handle yourself in stressful situations all the while remembering to provide the finest professional service possible.
Room Attendant (1) Full Time - Housekeeper is responsible for the general cleaning and upkeep of guestrooms and other assigned areas. Requirements include: the ability to lift, bend, move heavy equipment; remain on one's feet for extended periods of time; and an individual who is team oriented and dedicated to providing excellent service and ensuring that IHR's highest cleanliness standards are met. Must be able to push 200 pounds on wheels with help, lift up to 25 pounds and have ability to bend and stoop multiple times per day. Strong ability to to stand for long periods of time and able to communicate with guests and understand basic requests in English. Good attitude and flexibility also required.
