If you’re ready for an open-water adventure, there are plenty of choices available at the harbor. Large boats, six passenger fishing charters and specialty sail boats are available for charter or rent through Dana Wharf Sportfishing. The Ocean Institute runs boat excursions from themed pirate ship trips to wildlife cruises. Catalina Express departs right from Dana Point to take passengers to beautiful Catalina Island, where scenic tours and even a zip-line eco-tour are waiting.
